Island Dragway Bike Show: Our Fat Boy Hot Rod Trike Won!

Island Dragway and Tramontin Harley Davidson partnered to host the Head to Head Shootout Drag Racing and Motorcycle Show at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ. So we enjoyed our Sunday, doing what we do best – riding and showing off one of our builds!

DRAG RACES

We saw some pretty cool head-to-head racing on Sunday. The drag strip was open to all, which made for some interesting match ups including motorcycle vs. snow mobile, quad races, 9-second cars and trucks, and a really fast and well built ’57 Chevy. Check out the videos on our YouTube channelisland-dragway-tramontin-head-to-head

BIKE SHOW

Our very own Hot Rod Fat Boy Trike took home the trophy at the bike show and we couldn’t be happier! Our tricked-out three-wheeled machine really seems to turn heads everywhere we go – with its exposed independent rear suspension, wide rear tires, big chrome wheels, a raked front end, and lots of custom flat and wrinkle black powder coat that really makes the chrome highlights stand out.

We’re really happy with how it turned out, and its a great feeling to to have other people think enough of it to award it a trophy. We’re really glad that other people like our designs and ideas and that’s the reason why we do what we do.

Our pal Ed Arens also took home a trophy with his Dyna! Ed’s 2007 Street Bob was customized by us – adding some cool touches, such as a chopped rear fender, custom side mounted license plate and tail light, and LED turn signals all the way around. We also murdered out the Vance and Hines Exhaust with gloss black powder coat to match the paint, coated the rocker covers, fender struts, turn signal stalks, triple trees, fork legs, and even customized the air cleaner a bit by powder coating just the spokes and baseplate to match the rest of the gloss black. It all adds up to give Ed’s ride a custom one-off look.
